Bring back the glory soccer days of "Drinks, Currypup, Kopi-o!"

Unlike we losers who had to watch the Tiger Cup final at home ("Live" though), Jimmy got to watch it at the National Stadium. Of course, being the "avid" soccer fan that I am, I waited for others to write about the win first so that I can link to it (Jim's got chio bu photos in his match coverage too, ok?). Besides, it would be hard to capture the feelings of the match with photos taken off the TV (that's my excuse anyways).

I haven't been this buzzed since Singapore won the Malaysia Cup yonks ago. Those were the days, man — finding any excuse to shout "referee kayu!", cheering when super-sub Steven Lim Tan (so sorry, what the heck was I thinking?) came on, buying curry puffs from the "Drinks, Currypup, Kopi-o!" guys. Oh, and having our mineral water bottles confiscated at the gate.

Come one, take out your airhorn and join me: "por-por, por-por-por, por-por-por-por, BUTOH!" Ah, nostalgia.

Excerpt:

For people who never experience those days of Malaysian league soccer, you won’t get the feeling of the stadium floor shaking as people stomp their feet while they wait their turn for the Kallang Wave to reach them. With a shout and raised arms, usually with both hands filled with newspaper confetti, the Waves screams pass for another round.
