Update: Ok, I'm home. And it did not suck. In fact, I am still feeling creeped out by the scary shit and the whole atmosphere of the movie. I am afraid reader cyberudang will have to kick himself for giving up his ticket to tonight's screening.
Don't expect Blade 4 or Matrix 4 here, this ain't an action flick. The pace was a little saggy in the middle, but the intense bits were very intense (I left the cinema with a very uneasy creepiness). Excellent use of surround sound, I thought. Many funny one-liners too.
I shan't give away the story here, but I am told those who read Hellblazer might be disappointed with some storyline departures.
Oh, my wife gave her two-word review: "So handsome". 'Nuff said.
And yes, I was moblogging via email on my mobile. That's how the original post was sent.
The wife and I are sitting comfortably in our good seats, third row from the back, in GV Grand 1, waiting for the movie Constantine to begin, courtesy of a good friend's kindness.
I hear that Singapore is getting to watch this Keanu Reeves vehicle a good 10 days earlier than the States, so this is even earlier.
I am quite thrilled to get to watch it so early, as I am a comics fan and the wife likes Keanu.
I hope it doesn't stink, like the last 2 Matrix movies. The other problem is that movie adaptations of comics usually do badly, like Catwoman and The Punisher (both versions). We'll see.
Ok, trailers started already...
