Today the kids ate their lunch with minimal fuss. It was a relief to see Isaac eat and drink. I was starting to get worried, because carrying him was like carrying a shadow of his former weight.
It took three viewings of Space Dancing by the Wiggles to keep them occupied. Faith is essentially ok, but we are keeping her home until she is no longer contagious. She even danced and giggled at specific songs in the Wiggles 3D cartoon, taking her cues from her "Techno-dancing" little brother. Her brother, in turn, learned how to climb onto the high rattan cabinet from watching his big sister.
Isaac did better last night. He only tantrumed once at 2am. I fed him his Woodward's Gripe water, or "Fei Chai Sui", a staple in my childhood (it has been around for 100 years). They took out the alcohol in this modern version of Woodward's. No wonder we liked it as kids... hic.
We also made sure he drank his water and applied the medicine to his mouth ulcers. That last bit made him angery, and he went ballistic. But Celia managed to get him under control and asleep in 30 minutes. He kept pointing and wanting to go out to the living room, but we did not let him out.
Isaac lost a bit of his voice from the crying, but it did not stop him from mouthing "Papa" when he saw me this morning.
Grandpa dropped by to visit just after lunch. By then, Faith was already well into her afternoon nap, but Isaac was still lao gai and manja, crying and refusing to nap. But he should cave soon, we can tell he is zonked.
Thanks to all the well-wishers. We appreciate all the concern from the community. Now to catch some sleep myself.
