Remember, Prison Got No Broadband
Many of you are aware that during the coming elections, you are not allowed to blog, podcast or publish anything that persistently promotes a certain political view, or political party. So much so that some of you have actually decided to stop blogging for the time being, just to be safe.
Miyagi and myself have a silly little slogan to remind ourselves to stay within the law, and that slogan is "Remember, Prison Got No Broadband".
It looks like our slogan has struck a chord with some of you, like April Rain, who used it in a recent post.
So we thought, what a waste. A perfectly good General Election, which comes only once in a blue moon, and no podcasts or blogs during such an exciting time because we are not sure what is allowed or not allowed.
I tell you what. Let's start podcasting, taking photos and writing blog posts, about your life in the weeks leading up to Polling Day, which is 6th May, but NOT of the elections. That way, you know you will not accidentally broadcast, photograph or publish illegal stuff, like snap and distribute photographs of party logos.
Then you tag your election-period effort singaporeelections so that the Technorati search engine will pick it up. And for the title of your podcast, photo or blog post (remember, NON-political stuff), use "Remember, Prison Got No Broadband". For photos, you can upload it to Flickr and tag it singaporeelections and entitle it "Remember, Prison Got No Broadband".

Remember, no politically illegal content, ok? Just nice safe stuff. You go and break the law, you kena your problem, ok? Then you may have to say sorry and publish an apology in the papers and all that.
