Sign me up for a tur kwa T-shirt, prease!

Posted by: Tym | May 9, 2006 10:56:33 PM

You should survey on the sales of tur kwa at the Bak Chor Mee stalls all over Singapore got go up or down or not.

Then you can also sell "THE FAMOUS TUR KWA" T-shirt to bak chor mee sellers. Suddenly, it will become the biggest bak chor mee franchise.

Me too, I want the "SORRY ALSO MUST EXPLAIN" T-shirt.

Posted by: kormmandos | May 9, 2006 10:56:41 PM

Perhapse the picture might include Mr Brown posed as the bar chor mee man, with the speech bubble: 'why you say you tell me you dowan tur kua when you NEVER say you dowan tur kua"

Posted by: KCLOY | May 9, 2006 11:09:52 PM

Ditto here!Pls send the details when u do.Cheers!

Please, it would be nice if you can come up with the T-shirts. 'Sorry also must explain' will be my permanent Saturday attire, and the Tur Kwa, Sunday.

Man, you gonna save me the trouble of having to think of what to wear. I think black would go well with the artwork......Thanks in advance.

Posted by: Nem | May 10, 2006 12:23:47 AM

All T-shirts must be tur kua colour!

Posted by: fm | May 10, 2006 12:30:23 AM

BTW is it "tur KUA" or "tur KWA"? This blog entry shows KWA whereas the wallpaper is KUA.

Posted by: fm | May 10, 2006 12:32:12 AM

HAHAHAHA i want!!

and the 'sorry also mus esprain'!!

Posted by: ant | May 10, 2006 12:32:57 AM

KUA is the American spelling and KWA is the British spelling. Both also can as long as we move on! ;P

Posted by: mystery | May 10, 2006 12:33:30 AM

i thought the spelling was 'te gua'!!

Posted by: anon | May 10, 2006 12:34:04 AM

Perhaps Creative Technology CEO, Mr. Sim Wong Hoo, should tag along this "Tur Kua" hype and run a champagine with all the Bah Chor Mee stalls in Singapore and rebrand it's "Zen" series MP3 player (flash base) to "Tur Kua" series MP3 player. Hope this will help to deplete his surplus stocks and save his business; at least for now :P

Posted by: Tan Gu Gu | May 10, 2006 12:53:15 AM

Cannot T-shirt lah. Remember what happen to the white elephant T-shirt? haha...

Posted by: DK | May 10, 2006 1:23:38 AM

Lol I absolutely love the 'move on your si lang tau' line too! =D

Posted by: hermit | May 10, 2006 1:31:23 AM

I want the shirt too! Its simply too funny! But will we be arrested if everyone wears it together? like the white elephant incident?

Posted by: Junx | May 10, 2006 1:35:58 AM

i support having 'sorry also must explain' and the 'move on? move on your si lang tau lah' merchandises! LOL

Posted by: donut | May 10, 2006 2:32:49 AM

Pretty little Tur Kwa man! :)

Posted by: Kevin | May 10, 2006 2:52:40 AM

We also want the "sorry also must explain" one! Please?

Posted by: LeFire | May 10, 2006 6:34:34 AM

must create Singapore Bak Chor Mee Association... den can sell... den got merchandise... must have Bak Chor Mee humor too... maybe a sequel to the bakchor mee episode...

Posted by: Jim Kambez | May 10, 2006 7:07:08 AM

. o O (Wah serious ah? I initially joking one leh...)

I used to eat bak chor mee w/o tur kua one... Ever since the podcast, now I always include tur kua in my bakchor mee.

Scahlee after that must explain how? :-)

Posted by: Dan | May 10, 2006 7:13:57 AM

i dint know what was te kua until that podcast. i initiallt thought was some chao seng beef!

Posted by: yo | May 10, 2006 7:17:41 AM

i seriously want a tur kwa tee... SERIOUSLY!!! go make that tee and mr brown can become millionare

Posted by: ba chor mee man | May 10, 2006 8:14:44 AM

Haha... tur kwa is cute... but i like the suggestions of "Sorry also must explain" design.. maybe can feature a CCTV camera. very poignant leh.

Posted by: feeblechicken | May 10, 2006 8:23:27 AM

T-shirt!T-shirt!T-shirt!T-shirt!T-shirt!T-shirt!

Posted by: Jazz | May 10, 2006 9:33:35 AM

You bet there's a market there for the T-shirt! The other T-shirt that should sell like hot cakes is the "Instead of spending my time thinking what is the right policy for Singapore, I'm going to spend all my time thinking what's the right way to fix them, to buy my supporters votes" quote, with this picture on it: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2074/1102/400/pleasehelp.jpg

Posted by: Wong Jui Keng | May 10, 2006 9:37:23 AM

I'll want one of those t-shirts of u make them. Long live tur kwa!

Posted by: Min-tea | May 10, 2006 9:52:59 AM

I want t-shirt also!

Posted by: Jo | May 10, 2006 10:02:35 AM

I think you should have "Sorry now no enough" in front, and "Sorry orso mus exprain" behind for the tee shirt.

can have small tur kwa logo on the sleeve.

Who says Singaporeans not entrepreneurial?

Posted by: Tur Kwa forever | May 10, 2006 10:26:26 AM

I agree with fm, i prefer the quote "Sorry must still explain"...

More more more variety~

Posted by: Shan | May 10, 2006 10:59:56 AM

Please have T-Shirt in infant and children sizes. Cute to put on children.Let them run around to do the "talking".

Posted by: haha | May 10, 2006 11:06:53 AM

Aiyah, I think your England too powderful liaoz. Proper Singlish is this: "Why you say you tell me you dunwan tur kwa when you *ne'er* say you dunwan tur kwa?"

Posted by: s | May 10, 2006 11:10:04 AM

eh...got HALAL bak chor mee or not? I wanna taste leh...and the tur kwa oso. Hahahah

Posted by: minah | May 10, 2006 11:27:28 AM

But to be honest I really like my ter kwa...must I explain if I want tur kwa?

Come to think of it, why the tur kwa so low quality?

Please explain to me why they are feeding us sub-standard ter kwa. Tur kwa must be fresh and not over done. Please someone explain to me, why is the tur kwa like that?

Can I buy my bak chor mee from someone else? Maybe they have better ter kwa...

Posted by: The Murk | May 10, 2006 12:58:59 PM

Wow Tur Kwa price may increase due to popular demand .

Posted by: Buyer | May 10, 2006 1:23:57 PM

If too many people wear the same Tur Kwa T-shirt, must apply police permit.

Posted by: littlecartnoodles | May 10, 2006 2:02:54 PM

Wei can someone make the MSN icon of the tur Kwa? Mr Brown can make Tee Shirt bo? Open e-commerce stall liao. Can have a Mr Brown Label, worn by celebrities next time can open Mr Brown Boutique liao.

Posted by: SerSiTiv | May 10, 2006 2:03:59 PM

Yes, will buy the t-shirt for me, my wife. Got kid's size or not? no? dont say sorry. Sorry also must exprain....

Posted by: frank | May 10, 2006 2:23:30 PM

it occurs to me that the tur kua would make a lovely plush/soft toy. :) Imagine it sitting on your dashboard or on top of your monitor.

Posted by: domch | May 10, 2006 2:33:22 PM

I want mug!!! Can show it off in office while I eat my bak chor mee.

Posted by: missybrowneyes | May 10, 2006 2:38:17 PM

Recently, my white MP,
Kok on my door, and very kek ki..
Say ‘I’ve worked so hard, so vote for me’,
‘Or rubbish won't be cleared, in your vicinty'..

I said ‘Dear MP of my GRC’,
‘Dun remember u, so please pardon me’..
‘I only saw you on TV’,
‘Dozing off and jiak liao bee’..

Last GE I voted for thee,
2% up in GST..
Cut CPF and up utility,
Are still very clear in my memory..

5 years later, then you come to me,
Fresh from your slumber of ivory..
Say that only, you can help me,
Escape from a life of poverty..

Just take a drive on CTE,
Count the number, of all the gantries..
Or squeeze a ride on the MRT,
That has not been cleared for ye..

My life since the last GE,
Has been downhill though I voted PAP..
If I vote the same for your sleeping spree,
I can expect the same misery..

So this time round, I vote for somebody,
Who will kachiao you, to productivity..
Forms fill wrong, no big deal to me,
If there’s someone to speak up for ah bee..

So dear MP of GRC,
If life no improve, vote u cho simi?

i wan a piece of the te kwa tee also!!!

Posted by: javier | May 11, 2006 1:25:50 AM

Oso want T-shirt. Might as well diversify, create several different product lines:
1. Sorry also must exprain
2. Move on? Move on your si lang tau ah.... (taken from comment above)
3. Why you say you dowan tur kwa....
While you're at it, print them on T-shirts (long and short sleeve), polo shirts, mouse pads, golf bags (different sizes), golf driver covers, swimming trunks, baseball caps and visors, watches (gents and ladies), car bumper stickers, computer covers, laptop neoprene covers, cups and mugs, table mats, bookmarks, car sun-shades etc. Remember to print in different colours. Start advertising on your podcast and website, sure got people buy one. As more use/wear them, your product lines advertize for themselves. I see a multi-millionaire in the making. Good luck!
