Welcome to the very first Cooling Off Day for the General Elections! To kick things off, I thought I'd share this little SMS received by a person whose mobile number was accidentally given to a PAP support group.
He received strange SMSes like this:
"Dear bro/sisTomorrow is cooling off day, so our plan is:
1. Call our friends and relatives who live in Aljunied GRC. Remind them to vote PAP.2. Hang out in groups of 2-4 at coffeeshops in the Branch you are helping out today. Spread the message of WP's selfish ambition and encourage others to vote PAP.
We are at the end leg of the race! Let's press on! Thanks"
If memory serves me correctly, activists are not allowed campaign on Cooling Off Day. Can someone clarify if this breaks any rules?
Meanwhile, I plan to have an ice cold beer for Cooling Off Day today, which is still allowed.
