Update: I have removed the link to Faith's site until we can find a way of hosting the file. She is already receiving a warning SMS from her host that her bandwidth limit will exceed soon, plus server will overheat and melt into a fiery ball of flames, etc. Stay tuned while Dr Bob and I help her set this up right. You guys are bandwidth locusts lah. :)
MP3 of a rap song by Hafiz A Aari, "Mat Tappered". Found on Faith T's site (link removed until we can find a mirror and set up a torrent). I suspect the demand for this 3.9mb MP3 file will soon overload her server, so if anyone is willing to offer to put it on BitTorrent, I will gladly host the tracker file here.
In case you are not familiar with this term, Tappered is tapered. Very tapered ants pants (everyone's a spelling expert here, mumble mumble) were very popular way back (think famous Malaysian rock band Wings). My Malaysian friend tells me his teachers used to stick a bottle from the bottom of students' pants to ensure that they met school standards of un-taperedness. And yes, he used to wear them too.
A small excerpt of the song below, poorly transcribed by me. Lucky is MP3 and not tape, like last time. In my day, we had to Stop, Rewind, Play, Stop, Rewind, Play, just to get the lyrics of an ABBA song we recorded off the radio.
Excerpt:
Mat Tappered by Hafiz As'ari
This song goes to all the tappered people
The tapped people who wear tappered pants
What is tappered pants you dunno? Ask Ah Pek
Aiyah, tappered pants ah, the pants velly nice
Suddenly ah, at the bottom velly tight
You know where or not? The crotch area there
Ah that one then become tight
Wah I hate those type of people
You go wild you go shoppin'
You go Pasar Malam to buy jeans
And you ask the Ah Pek, how much are these?
How much are these? And how much is that?
Oh velly cheap one, three for ten lollar
You choose any one it's still ten lollar
You go Pasar Malam
Always cheap what
No oliginal
Imitation
