Have you been busy juggling work, family and exercise, like me? Or, in my case, also juggling my little new podcast experiments, which have added another layer of work to my already complicated blogging life (recording the shows isn't the half of it, it's the editing that's a b**tch). But hey, that's how much I love ya all, gentle readers.
Well, listen to some cool music by indie emo band Daphne Loves Derby, which I found via Jac's blog. I like tracks "Come Winter" and "Simple Starving to be Safe". Their debut album comes out in June.
Oh, by the way, some of you were asking about the mystery singer in my earlier podcast who did an acoustic version of Counting Blue Cars by Dishwalla, and also asking where to get the song.
Wonder no more, the link to the track is here.
And the singer's name is Timmy Perez. Her friend, da flava, of sarongpartyfrens wrote me and told me she's a Filipino living in San Francisco, California.
da flava, who uploaded Timmy's impromptu recording at a dinner party without telling her, was very surprised by the number of people who took to it. Timmy doesn't have a website or blog for you rabid fans to bug her at, but da flava tells me if Timmy ever picks up the guitar to sing again, she'll be sure to try to record it.
Yes please. More more more. What a lovely voice.
