Now I know why people would rather pay the RM110 to take an excellent Aeroline bus to KL (fastest I have ever reached KL by bus - 4 hours), rather than fly one of those budget airlines for half the price.
James and I are back, and back at work. We had a blast chatting with Joi, Jeff, Mack "Mr Evo", KaZ, Alex Lam, and the many bloggers (and also blog readers) who were at the Al-Marjan (Arabian and Persian) restaurant, KLCC. Special shoutouts go to Kenneth, who brought James and I out for lunch. You were most kind and thanks for helping me with taking the photos.
I will upload the photos and further details when I have the time (work, work, and podcast post-production await). Oh, Cowboy Caleb? I just couldn't bring myself to tell Jeff Ooi that you admire his manberries, so you'll have to do it yourself the next time.
When I mentioned to Andreas of AlwaysWow that we were flying out of KL in the morning via AirAsia, he laughed and said, bring a book. So I guess I was lucky that my flight to Senai Airport, JB, was only delayed by half an hour.
Mom picked James and I up from Senai, and she picked up cans of baby formula, toilet rolls and diapers from a provision shop in JB, before I drove everyone home. Mom knows how to maximise the use of my car when I leave it with her, man. She is the Queen of Wet Marketing and Supermarketing in JB.
Psst, JB... want to attract Singapore travellers to fly out of Senai? Build a really secure and safe long-term car park and watch the Singaporean crowds drive in and fly Senai. I am not being sarcastic, I mean it.
I am really looking forward to meeting our new friends in Malaysia again (a few pictured here). It was a blast and worth the trip up. But I am taking the Aeroline bus both ways next time.
