Miyagi and I are at Hideout, at 31 Circular Road, to lend our support to fellow Tomorrow editor and friend, Daryl Sng, of dsng.net. And the music is great. (Original live cameraphone shot here)
We are trying not to scream "We will forever support you, Daryl!" (我们永远支持你!) in Chinese, so as not to embarrass him.
This is a great place for someone like our International Man of Mystery, Cowboy Caleb, to hang, but he has his Jack Daniels Black Label bottle to finish at his favourite Japanese pub.
Miyagi and I are sticking to our Ah Kua cocktails, because tomorrow have to work lah. We are so lame, what to do, old liao.
To demonstrate how small a world Singapore is, we also met Mr Sarongpartyfrens (sorry for melting your server with the Timmy Perez traffic, haha) himself, and I believe syntax free was there as well. Miyagi ended up talking rugby with some of the new friends he made and I met an old uni mate, Tammy.
When Miyagi, Daryl and I finally left (actually Belinda had to throw us out because it was closing time), we had a small panic at the car park of UOB because they gates were down, and we looked absolutely uncool and clueless, until Mr Sarongpartyfrens showed us how to get into the car park via another entrance. Damn malu, man.
We are definitely going to be back, and I think DJ Slapdash will be spinning there again. You know us, lah, we very 永远支持 him one.
