It is my turn tonight. Day Two of the quarantine. Mom's house is quiet except for the TV and the strains of Faith's toy electric guitar.
I have no internet (aargh!), except from my mobile. cable TV sucks (K-9 on Star Movies!). And half the time is spent trying to stop Faith from licking the toy electric guitar's strings.
The other half of the time she spends reading with Papa, jumping on Papa like he's a trampoline, and climbing up the sofa to mess with the family portrait (she is the one with the pink hairband sitting on Grandpa's lap).
My Mom went for her mahjong and Dad is out for the evening for his weekly drink with the kakis. Leaving Faith and I to hang out in their flat.
She is drooling more than usual, because the sores in the mouth must be painful when she swallows. But she is eating and drinking, that's all that matters. And she is cheerful despite being ill.
We are keeping her isolated from her little brother and mother, so that she does not give it to them too. But Mommy misses her very much, especially at bedtime, because she is so used to sleeping with Faith next to her.
My Mom offered to look after Faith and put her up in her house once we knew (bless her). It has been smooth so far, and Faith has not fussed. She actually seems to be enjoying her stay.
At least the K-9 movie is over and Star is showing X-men 2 now.
Hand-foot-mouth is a bitch.
