While the Singapore blogosphere was collapsing beneath the sledgehammer of possible lawsuits and the jackboot of tyranny, thereby threatening the very fabric of freedom itself, Miyagi and I went to 21st Xiaxue's birthday party. A tad late, like Channel NewsLater, as Migs would say (I had to put the kiddies to sleep lah). Which prompted Xiaxue to say:
"Mr Miyagi and mrbrown appears after midnight, holding the soundtrack of 20,30,40! Why so late ah!
Changi visiting ah kuas RIGHT!"
Miyagi lor, I told him to check out the Ah Kuas later, but no, he wanted to make friends early.
Miyagi was wearing his favourite butterflies Paul-Theroux-style shirt, which meant I had to stand a little further away from him most of the time, in case our relationship was misconstrued. I also did not bring along my sunglasses and feared becoming blind.
The prevalence of youth at this party also led Miyagi to get in touch with his royal side, and he donned Xiaxue's tiara for us.
Here is a link to her party post, but I warn you, it contains a LOT of photos and will crash most computers. Go get a cup of coffee first. Our tiny mention is at the end of her post, just keep scrolling.
And in case you are wondering, there is no political commentary there at all, so don't say I never tell you first, then later come and complain say what infantile, no serious issues blah blah blah.
(Oh, and Loy of Singapore Angle just celebrated a birthday of another kind, he just became the father of a lovely baby girl, Penelope! Go say hi and send your best wishes!)
