Subject: Suggestions on Information Report
Dear Mr. Brown,
I am an avid reader of your blog. I have to say you have a good sense of humor. I am writing a report on Blogs for my school assignment and thought you could give advice on the title of the report.
I am working along the lines of these titles:
-Power & Politics of Blogs
-Blogs as a Form of Media
-The Influence of Blogs on Singapore
It would be great if you could share your thoughts on these titles. It would be better if you could suggest a title for my report on Blogs. I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank You.
PS: Your Blog is Hilarious!
Yours Sincerely,
Your Avid Blogder
Dear Avid Blogder,
Thank you for your kind email. At first, I thought it was only praising me, but then I found out that it was also sent to many other bloggers like Kenny Sia, Xiaxue, Cowboy Caleb and Daryl Sng.
I am deeply honoured you consider me worthy to be in the company of all these luminaries, so much so that you sent the same email, word for word, except for the name, to all of us.
I get many requests to do interviews for press and projects, and I do try to help out when I can, although I hate answering questions on ancient and overly-flogged topics like SPG's breasts and the infantilism of our blogosphere. I mean, get a fresh angle already!
And my ability to participate in these exercises are also limited by my schedule (uncle also have to work, or else no money).
But your request is by far the best and funniest I have ever received. EVAR.
Those are heavy topics you have chosen and I am afraid I cannot comment on them, because I am not that familiar with them (I got a B3 in GP only). However, I can help you to suggest some titles for your report:
- "How to be credible by not leaving a real name, and using a fake email address to ask for help."
- "How to show your sincerity by praising every blogger's good sense of humor, in fact, by using an email template."
- "How to get other bloggers to do your homework for you."
I have included your email address in my post (I do not usually do this, but because you are special, I will make the exception), so that more bloggers can help you with your homework. I am sure my readers and fellow bloggers will have much to contribute to your quest for knowledge.
Maybe you can even start a blog for this, and invite readers to comment on it (you DO blog, don't you? Or else how else are you going to do a project on blogging, right?), I will be happy to link to that too.
Yours Sincerely,
mr brown
PS Your email was hilarious!
