I just heard from one of his students that Wayne Thunder of The Suns, passed away in his sleep last night. We had him on the mrbrown show back in January 2006 with the Suns, and really enjoyed his banter and friendship.
And even as recently as January this year, he was sharing with me, over email, his plans for a new local music podcast of his own, over at www.gilarock.com. He had already recorded a few shows and was looking forward to promoting music in Singapore with it.
Wayne was a passionate musician. He will be missed dearly.
My deepest condolences to his loved ones. His funeral is at 8pm, St Joseph's (Bt Timah), Cremation is tomorrow.
Wayne, you will always rock.
