We just happened to be in Ubud on a Sunday that they had their Ubud bike rally, so we took our Dahon Curve folding bikes to join in the fun.
I'm told it's going to be 15km. I hope so, I haven't had my breakfast yet, we woke up too early to have any.
I think we're the only folding bikes here, judging from the amused and curious looks we're getting from the other riders.
Kamandalu Resort and Spa arranged transport for us, driving our bikes downtown to the starting point.
Our ride took us around Ubud, and we really saw much of the town. Some of the slopes were too much for our 3-geared Curves so we got off and pushed our bikes up the slopes. I enjoyed the downhills a lot.
The wife spent most of her time concentrating on her riding and avoiding traffic (she still has a slight phobia from her last fall).
I told her, "Wasn't that Monkey Forest we rode past, interesting?"
"There was a Monkey Forest? Sorry, I was busy feeling terrified down the slopes."
