I saw this in a Facebook status thread about whether Mr Tan Yong Soon should apologise for "boasting" about his Paris holiday. Joseph C wrote:

It's not like he let a suspected dangerous terrorist escape from custody and then failed miserably in the dissemination of information and the recapture of the suspect. It's not like he lost S$12 million of taxpayer's money in misinvestments. Maybe, he should just say he's sorry it has happened, or regrets that some people have found it insensitive. And add that now that it has happened, what to do? So let's move on...
