Goodbye Pa

I apologise for the lack of updates in the last week or so. Dad passed away suddenly last Tuesday.

Joy made this drawing for her 爷爷 and we placed it on his coffin before it went to the crematorium on Saturday.

This morning, my 5-year-old Joy crawled into bed with me as she usually does and asked me if she could make another drawing for her late grandfather.

"Sure," I said.

"Do I have to burn it so that he gets it?" she asked.

"No, Joy-Joy. You can just give it to him in your heart," I said. "I am sure he will receive it that way."

The kids are going to miss shouting goodbye at Pa standing at the corridor on the eighth floor of his flat, waving goodbye to them as they walk back home every night.

Goodbye Papa. Goodbye 爷爷. We love you. Good night.
