According to the team, they "ran around Singapore and shot the whole thing on Steadicam, with the idea of sharing the beautiful places in Singapore to remind ourselves this beautiful place that we live in again".
I was cycling home late one night when I got frightened by this ginormous PAP billboard of PAP MP Fatimah Lateef. It loomed over me as I cycled past and I almost fell off my bike.
Heck, I didn't even know this tip of Lorong Ah Soo belonged to PAP-held Marine Parade GRC. So now residents of Lorong Ah Soo who are part of WP-held Aljunied GRC have to drive past this giant Marine Parade GRC billboard every day.
I was going to take a photo to show you guys this over-compensating billboard, but WP MP Chen Show Mao beat me to it. His caption was, "Happy N Day from me and Fatimah across Lorong Ah Soo from Aljunied GRC!"
Update: Penny Low "apologized": "I was so caught up in the wonderful NDP 2011 and felt so proud of being a Singaporean, that I wanted to capture that moment of pride, at the very tail end of the anthem, to share on FB with my residents. If in my enthusiasm I offended anyone, please accept my apologies. NDP is a time to unite not divide. Majulah Singapura."
Frankly, I don't know how pointing out her faux pas was dividing the country.
Pro tip: During the singing of the National Anthem at the National Day Parade, try not to fiddle with your mobile phone. You are on live HD TV.
I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for me in the Media category of the inaugural Yahoo! "Singapore 9". It was an honour to be even chosen in that category. I promise to "speak on issues only as authorised by the Cabinet" and "follow the advice of the Cabinet" in the discharge of my duties.
Oh wait, that one is for President only. I can still speak on any issues I please. Paiseh. Wrong channel.
