This is a mechanical keyboard I am typing on and it is going to be noisy because of the clicky mechanical keys. Mine is the tactile model, the G915 Wireless Tactile.

It may drive you crazy. I am still getting used to the travel and the distance between the keys because I am used to typing on the Craft keyboard, which isn’t mechanical and has a shallower key travel.
How liddat.

The Logitech G915 is very good. And wireless. But a little pricey. Then again, so is the top of the line business keyboard, the Craft.
Wait, I need to go and install some Logitech G Hub software.
Again. I am typing on the G915 and it is a great keyboard. I wonder if I like this more than my Craft keyboard. In either case, the Logitech stuff is really good.
But the G915 takes up a fair bit of space. A little more than the Craft. It is also an adjustable-height keyboard because it has retractable feet. The Craft has a fixed height.
I do miss the Craft wheel and all the functions on that wheel though.
I like the height. I prefer to use it raised. There are three height levels: Flat, Slightly Tilted, and Full Tilted. I have tried all three heights and I like the highest setting for typing.
The lighting is nice. I like the Ah Beng colours. I set mine to 50% brightness so I don’t get blinded by it, and also to save power. I am only 50% Beng.
I find the included charging cable. I am now charging it.
Why is it micro-USB though? USB-C please. The Craft keyboard uses USB-C. Why is this top of the line gaming keyboard still using micro-USB lah.
It is new, just out of the box, and battery is now 26%. At full charge, it will last 30 hours with all the blinky lights on, about a week. But with the lights off, it will last more than 100 hours.
It works with Bluetooth or the Logitech G dongle. You can use Bluetooth when pairing with your iPhone or iPad, for example.

I love the sound of a mechanical keyboard.
The Logitech G USB dongle is not the same as the Logitech Unifying dongle that comes with the Craft keyboard and the non-gaming series of Logitech input devices. So you can’t use the G915 with the Logitech Unifying dongle.
If you want to use just one dongle, then get a G series gaming mouse to go with your G915. Then you can have one dongle to rule them all.
Same with the Craft keyboard: pair that with a MX Master 3 mouse and the Logitech Unifying dongle to be lean and mean.
But if you are like me, and like the G915 gaming style keyboard but also like Logitech’s best-made business mouse like the MX Master 3, then sorry, you have to use TWO different dongles.
I am happy Logitech software plays nice with my Macs now. The software they provide is fairly stable. It installed without fuss on macOS Catalina. I wouldn’t trust Razer’s Synapse software on my Mac. I wouldn’t even trust Synapse on my Windows PC.
Needless to say, this is a gaming keyboard and is best used on a gaming computer. Which means a Windows PC. I think I will still keep it with my Mac because I type a lot and this keyboard has great feel in the typing department. I know, it is very hardcore to use a gaming keyboard just for typing but whatever feels good, man.
